Double gunning, Single gun loading….or stuffing……. is a very effective way to ensure you enjoy the day.
Double gunning is best suited to days of over 300 to 400 bird days.
The art of double gunning is nothing new and has been around since Victorian times, however, to be good at double gunning you must first understand the reason behind using a pair of guns, and it really is very simple, it allows the gun to maintain focus on the approaching birds without being distracted by having to open a gun and wait for a cartridge to be loaded. Single gunning causes the gun to look down and therefore focus on the bird is lost and valuable time is then used to re-establish focus on an oncoming bird.
When you have a good loader they will automatically and seamlessly take a gun from your hands and provide you with your next gun loaded and ready.

Your loader will be responsible for you gun and cartridges throughout the day ensuring they arrive with you on peg on time, every time. Their knowledge of the terrain, birds and even their ability as a instructor can be utilised to good effect to ensure you enjoy the day to its fullest. Picking your way through the bag with selective shots that challenge and test your ability are the days to treasure.
We can provide a driver-loader for the day, the duration of a visit, or throughout the season. Our loader – drivers are able to cater for all your needs whether that be double or single gunning. We will arrange to collect you from your home/airport and transport you, and any guests to your chosen destination, we will then be ready and waiting for you first thing in the morning to transport you to the shoot and arrange to drive you around all day taking care of all your equipment and ensuring you arrive on peg, on time, every time. You are then able to enjoy your day to the full safe in the knowledge that all transportation is taken care of.
Every driver is a full shotgun certificate holder and will be responsible for your guns from the moment we collect you until the moment we return you home or to the airport. We are also able to provide drivers for non shoot days as well as sight seeing and shopping excursions.
Through our exclusive tie up with a local Range Rover and Land Rover dealership we are able to provide the latest in fleet luxury to ensure your days transportation exceeds expectations.
We are also able to offer access to some of the best in-field game shooting photographers in the UK who can capture the enjoyment of your day in the field with discretion and respect for the guns.
This is a complete service for shoot days with quality images in formats tailored to customers requirements.
For corporate shoots there is an option of a company name and logo to be incorporated on the final prints if desired.
