Shooting and Fishing
Shooting and fishing are two very popular sports that often go hand in hand with one another. Shooting and fishing equipment is often available from the same shops, and people who participate in one of the two sports often have an active interest in the other.
Shooting and fishing are both regarded as traditional countryside sports and they are most frequently practiced in the country. People who are interested in shooting and fishing who do not already live in the countryside will often travel into the country in order to take part in these sports.
Shooting and fishing, despite their obvious difference are actually not too dissimilar in the respect that both sports require degree of patience from a person if they are to be successful at either. Also, shooting and fishing are sometimes practiced in order to acquire food rather than just for fun, and the vast majority of game birds that are used for food are shot. Shooting and fishing also both require people who participate in them to have a specialist license, firstly to prevent the over hunting of animals, and for safety reasons as guns cannot simply be sold to anybody who wants them.
